Asus has updated its business laptop ExpertBook B9. The name remains the same, the novelty differs by the model number: B9450CBA-XVE75 or B9450CBA-XVE77, depending on the modification.
The manufacturer claims that these are the lightest 14-inch laptops in the world: they weigh only 880 g thanks to the magnesium alloy body. At the same time, you don’t have to sacrifice power or autonomy: they use Intel Core i7-1255U processors and provide up to 16 hours of battery life.
The differences between the models come down to the amount of memory: the XVE77 comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 2 TB SSD, the XVE75 has both numbers half that. Both versions are equipped with a 14-inch FHD monitor with a brightness of 400 nits and received a standard set of ports: USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 2, two USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) and HDMI.
For security, there is a fingerprint scanner, a TPM 2.0 encryption processor, and a Kensington lock slot. There is also a webcam shutter that won't damage the screen.
Other features include a quad-speaker system tuned by Harman/Kardon, a touchpad with NumberPad 2.0 calculator layout (disabled mode), and a 180-degree hinge in the lid. The laptop comes with Windows 11 Pro.
Asus also took care of the environment. The laptops meet Energy Star 8.0 and EPEAT Gold energy efficiency certifications, and their 100% recyclable packaging can be reassembled into a stand.
The 2022 ExpertBook B9 is priced at $1,840 and $2,440, depending on the modification. These are 112,000 and 148,500 rubles, respectively. Both models are already on sale in the US.
