In power-saving mode, they can work indefinitely.
Garmin has unveiled a new Instinct Crossover hybrid watch with a stainless steel case. They combine the features of mechanical and smart watches: they have real hands and sensors to track health. The display is also present: it is monochrome and displays data like heart rate, weather, events from the calendar and battery level. The dial can be customized.
The watch supports all standard features, including notifications, health and training data synchronization with Garmin Connect on a smartphone, and even contactless payment - but only through Garmin Pay, which did not launch so fully in Russia. The gadget also monitors the level of VO2 max - this is an indicator of the body's performance, which determines how effective training will be.
The Instinct Crossover is rated at 10ATM and is shock and scratch resistant. At the same time, they are quite light: without a strap, they weigh only 65 g.
Garmin claims the watch will last up to 28 days in smartwatch mode, or up to 110 hours when using GPS. Modification with a solar panel will provide up to 70 days of work in smart watch mode and "endless" autonomy in power saving mode (it leaves only basic functions like time display and timer).
The base version of the Instinct Crossover costs $500, with a $550 solar-panel version. A Tactical Edition is also available that is compatible with night vision goggles and has the ability to delete all data in an emergency. It comes with a solar panel and costs $600. While the standard watch comes in black and blue/grey, the Tactical Edition is only available in black.
