WhatsApp is testing sending messages to itself

In WhatsApp 22.23.0.70 beta for iOS and Android, we discovered the ability to send messages to yourself. This feature is available in other popular messengers like Telegram. Chat with you can be used to take notes and store important messages and files.

All you need to do to start chatting is to click on the icon for creating a new chat and select the "I" card in the contact list. Write any message so that this dialog appears in the list and can be used at any time.

It is worth noting that it was possible to correspond with yourself with yourself before, but on Android you had to use the format link https://wa.me/7XXXXXXXXXX with your number, and on iPhone, make sure your card in Contacts is using the correct phone number. The update only brings a new "Me" card at the top of the contact list, making it easier to use the feature.

It is not yet known when this innovation will appear in the stable version of WhatsApp.
