IOS and iPadOS 16.2 updates will add 4 new features

By data Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, in mid-December, Apple will release new interim updates to iOS and iPadOS 16.2. Beta testing began immediately after the release of versions 16.1 last week, and 4 features are already known that the update will bring.

Sleep widget for lock screen

This widget will have three display options. The first shows how much time you spent in bed, the second displays a sleep quality scale, and the third displays both of these parameters, but takes up more space on the screen.

Sports matches in the "Air of Activity"

Activity Broadcast is a widget at the bottom of your lock screen that lets you track the status of deliveries, taxis, and the like. It appears automatically when using applications that support this feature. With iOS 16.2, when watching sports on Apple TV, some events will be available to watch from the lock screen in real time.

Freeform Application

Announced at WWDC, the virtual whiteboard lets you work on text, drawings, graphics, and photos with friends or colleagues. It will appear in iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and 

Support for external monitors in iPadOS

A feature that was supposed to appear in iPadOS 16 at launch, but was eventually delayed - just like the Stage Manager display mode. Both of the features shown in the image above are due for iPad in December.
