First impressions of Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 1

Released The first beta version of Mozilla Firefox 3. I put almost immediately and should be noted that the developers I was pleasantly surprised. A large number of errors are eliminated, the browser started to work significantly faster, improved interface.

Before you begin a story about the beta, I want to note that this is not a review, but so far only experience of work. A full review, I think it will be with the release.

The first thing that catches - significantly redesigned user interface. The preferred began to work with bookmarks. For the organization of storage and can be used now not only folders, but also tags.

The panel has a new bookmark item Places. It provides quick access to recently marked with an asterisk sites, the most frequently used tags, etc. IN Overall, I realized in the course of a few hours, the Places together with improved tabbed create some semblance of del.icio.us. In the version for Mac OS X to improve the work with fonts. It is still not perfect, but now you can use the browser with a significantly greater comfort. Another novelty in the Mac-version - Support for notifications using the Growl.

Changed the Mozilla Firefox add-ons manager. "Extensions" and "Topics" tab added to the new "Plug-ins". So turn off the flash plug-in made easy. :)

Like the ability to select multiple pieces of text (press Ctrl / Cmd) and then copy them. Very comfortably.

However, perhaps one of the most important improvements - Significantly faster browser. It felt even to the naked eye. Developers have eliminated about three hundred errors which caused memory leaks (and likely more decided more 11,000 bugs).
