In case of unauthorized entry, the messenger will delete the correspondence.
WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to block individual and group chats with a PIN or fingerprint. WABetaInfo specialists discovered it in the new beta version of the Android app.
To block a chat, you will need to click on the contact or group information and select the desired authentication option. Correspondence protected in this way will be moved to a separate tab.
In addition, the function also provides for the privacy of media files: photos and videos sent to a secure chat will not be automatically saved to the device's gallery.
And if someone tries to open a blocked chat and fails to provide the required data, the app will prompt the user to clear it before opening it.
Now whatsapp can be locked with a PIN or fingerprint. This requires authentication every time you log into the messenger, which some users don't like. The ability to classify a specific chat will allow you to quickly open the application, keeping confidential correspondence safe from prying eyes.
This feature is expected to come in an upcoming WhatsApp update.
