Arnold Schwarzenegger gave interview publication of The Hollywood Reporter, in which he touched upon the legendary projects with his participation. He named his most underrated film, 1993's The Last Action Hero, but also talked about the iconic Terminator.
Here's what he said when asked if the franchise is complete:
The franchise isn't over, but I'm done with it. I clearly understood that people want to see other themes in the Terminator. Need someone with a good new idea.
The Terminator has contributed a lot to my success, and I always look at this series with love. The first three films were great. I missed the fourth one because I was then the governor. As far as I understand, the fifth and sixth failed. We suspected this in advance, because they were not very well written.

The actor was also asked about the fact that the phrase "I'll be back" has become his calling card. The actor replied that no one expected this. On the set, he didn’t even want to say the phrase I’ll be back and offered to replace it with I will be back. But the director convinced him to pronounce the original version with different intonations on camera - and we all know how it ended. Schwarzenegger himself takes the legendary phrase calmly:
I'm not the kind of person who will complicate things and say, "I don't want to compare myself to my films or use lines from them." Clint Eastwood generally takes clothes from the set of his films and only wears them. So why should I bother using a certain phrase?
