How to Recover Deleted Apps on Android
Miscellaneous / / April 04, 2023
Three ways for different situations.
Via the app store
The easiest option is to use Google Play. If you remember the name of the program, logo and developer, then you can search for it in the store and restore it.
This usually works if you uninstalled the app recently. And it must be hosted on Google Play.
Data about previously installed programs is stored in your Google account. Therefore, you can find and reinstall the application through the settings if you do not remember all the details about it. Here's how to do it:
1. Launch Google Play and on the main screen, click on your profile icon in the upper right corner next to the search bar.
2. From the menu that appears, select "App and Device Management".
3. Go to the "Management" tab.
4. Above the list of applications there is an "Installed" button. Click on it and switch the display to "Not Installed". The list will display the programs that were on smartphone in past.
5. Find the applications you need in the list and check the boxes next to them.
6. The download and trash icons will appear at the top of the screen. Click the first one - the selected programs will be reinstalled into the system.
With a dedicated application
If you are afraid that the programs you need will disappear from the application store, install a file backup utility on your smartphone in advance. To do this, make a corresponding request on Google Play. Suitable, for example, Super Backup, Apps Backup and Restore or Phone Backup. They all work on the same principle and have very similar interfaces.

First you need to back up the programs that are important to you so that they can be restored in the future. Consider the procedure using Super Backup as an example.
1. Launch Super Backup and select the action in the main menu - copy applications.
2. In the list of available programs, mark those that you want to save to the device's local storage.
3. Click the "Save" button. Super Backup will create copies of applications in the format of installation archives.
If you need to restore a deleted and missing application, launch Super Backup and go to the already familiar section. Switch to the "Archived" tab, select the program and click "Install". Confirm that you are ready to return it from an unknown source. Your application will be reinstalled.
Using the setup file
If the deleted application cannot be restored through the store, and you cannot make a backup have done it, try to find the latest available version of the program in the form of an installation file with the extension apk.
Enter a query in the search engine: application name apk. The first few results in the SERP should be safe, but be sure to check user reviews if available.
Download the file to your device and open it. If the system prompts you to install the safe version, try this option. If it fails, restart the file, but this time select "Open Anyway" and confirm the installation from an unknown source. After the process is completed, you will be able to use the program as usual.
