How to behave in the subway: tips and proven life time

Now there is in its ninth year, I use the Moscow underground (I'm a stranger). And it just so happened that involuntarily I paid attention to a bunch of different things in motion and behavior of people in the subway. At some point, I began to collect their observations in the form of notes-recommendations. I am truly convinced that if the majority of people will follow them, the number of traffic jams in the metro will decrease and it will be more pleasant to use.

Follow the recommendations or not - it's your business. But at least, that I ask you - just watch for a while. You will learn many interesting things!

0. Entrance / exit of the subway

• Use the free passage / door, do not go just for the crowd.
• Hold the door for the next person.
• If a strong draft seeks to close the door, it is better to open it in the opposite direction (to keep track of your girl / woman is not carried away with the door).

1. Box office / ticket machines

• Prepare money in advance, while waiting in line.
• If you arrange the travel or renewing, supporting documents in advance to get better, too.

2. turnstiles

• Beforehand, remove the tickets.
• Come to free the turnstiles, do not stand in the crowd.

3. escalator down

• Before entering on the escalator miss the "interference right."
• Get up through one step, so as not to stumble and not come on the heels of someone.
• When entering the trigger on the escalator is better to walk on the left row, the second row than to stand on the right side.

4. Underground Station / transition

• Do not go against the flow: for the most part at all metro stations and junctions right-hand traffic.

• Do not go into the crowd on the car at the other end unless absolutely necessary - tiny time savings.
• Get ready to enter in advance.
• Get ready for the fact that you will swing against the movement of the train when starting and stopping. Hold the handrails, friends or stand firmly along the path of the train, not across.
• Remove bags / backpacks shoulders.
• If possible, keep your distance from others, do not climb into their comfort zone.

• Do not talk in the subway on the phone connection is bad, you will be yelling into the phone, and everything can be interrupted. Better warn that call back or write SMS.

• Free space in the car is in the middle of the car, at the opposite door, docking in places of cars.
• If possible, remove the bags, luggage under the seat, put next to the seats near the platform at the door.
