Xiaomi has released Redmi Note 12 Turbo - the flagship among the average

As part of the next presentation, Xiaomi officially introduced its new smartphone Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which has been fueled by interest over the past month. And now it’s clear why – this device sets a completely new bar for mid-range smartphones.

The novelty received a 12-bit 6.67-inch OLED display with support for 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of up to 1000 nits and HDR10 + certification.

The smartphone has very narrow bezels on all sides, which is unusual for middle-class models. Thus, the width of the “chin” was 2.22 mm, the top frame – 1.95 mm, and the side – only 1.42 mm. For comparison, the iPhone 14 has 2.4 mm on all sides.

The case of a smartphone with a metal chassis and flat side frames. It can withstand strong impacts and can protect the screen when dropped. On the side of the power button is a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, comparable in performance to last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 solution. Xiaomi specifically noted the high and stable frame rates in many popular games, including Genshin Impact, where you can count on almost 60 frames per second.

The powerful chip is complemented by the new Super Diffusion Diversion VC cooling technology with an area of ​​3725 mm², the heat dissipation efficiency of which has increased by 35% (compared to previous models in the series). The amount of RAM reaches 12 GB (LPDDR5), and the internal memory is 1 TB (UFS 3.1).

The main camera is represented by three modules with a 64 megapixel main sensor, support for OIS (optical image stabilization) and optical zoom. The second sensor for wide-angle shooting has a resolution of 8 megapixels, and the third at 2 megapixels is for macro.

The front sensor in the screen hole is 12 megapixels.

The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and provides 1.33 days of autonomous use. There is support for 67W fast charging. And all this with a case thickness of 7.9 mm and a weight of only 181 grams.

Among other things: stereo speakers, support for Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an IR transmitter, a linear vibration motor, as well as Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC modules.

The smartphone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. According to the manufacturer, the device is optimized in the best possible way - with a stake on uninterrupted operation. It was illustrated by the percentage of software failures - only 0.005%.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be released on March 31 and will be available in three color options, one of which symbolizes the spring melting of ice and snow. The prices are as follows:

• 8 + 256 GB: 1,999 yuan (≈22,300 rubles);
• 12 + 256 GB: 2,099 yuan (≈23,400 rubles);
• 12 + 512 GB: 2,299 yuan (≈25,600 rubles);
• 16 + 1 TB: 2,599 yuan (≈29,000 rubles).

Also, the smartphone will have a special version for fans of "Harry Potter". It has a special case design and a very rich package with a special case and a paper clip to remove the tray, as well as a map of the Marauders and an invitation to Hogwarts.

The Harry Potter Edition version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory will cost 2,399 yuan (≈26,700 rubles). It must be delivered in a special gift box.
