One of the new features of the fresh iOS 16.4 became "Voice Isolation" - the ability to highlight the voice and drown out background sounds when making calls via the cellular network. This feature has long been present in popular instant messengers, including FaceTime from Apple itself, but now it has been added to regular calls.
Turning it on is easy, but not entirely intuitive. Here's what to do:
After that, "Voice Isolation" will be enabled by default during calls.
If you don't have this setting, check your iOS version: you probably haven't updated to iOS 16.4 yet. You can see this in the settings item "General" → "Software Update".
