What cards does Zolotaya Korona accept after shutting down some banks

In early March, Zolotaya Korona users faced the fact that they could not transfer money through the service. He simply rejected the cards of some banks. For example, this is how the application looks when you try to enter Tinkoff card details.

After a while, the service itself came up with clarifications. In "Golden Crown" reportedthat they really introduced restrictions on cross-border transfers from the cards of some banks, so as not to violate the sanctions regime of other countries.

The decision cannot be called unexpected, but we are more interested in the practical side of the issue. Golden Crown is a popular service. It is used by foreigners who work in Russia and send money to their families in other countries, mostly bordering the Russian Federation. It is in demand among Russians living abroad who cooperate with domestic companies. It is not always easy for both of them to find a bank not under sanctions and get its card.

But so far there are at least two options that allow you to transfer money through the Golden Crown. We checked both.

What cards does Golden Crown accept?

1. Yandex card

Straight to the point: the payment on such a card through the Golden Crown went through.

To get a Yandex card, you need to download the Map Plus application or act through the website. The algorithms are similar, so we will only focus on the application.

You need to log in to the application using the login and password of the Yandex shared account. If not, you must first register. By default, you will be assigned an initial level of identification, but it is not suitable for transfers, since the card will not have details. You need a base level. To switch to it, you will have to fill out a short, uncomplicated questionnaire: full name, date of birth, passport data, TIN.

After that, you will be at the basic level of identification and receive card details. You can already enter them in the application or on the Golden Crown website, and then send the payment.

2. "OZON card"

Again, let's not keep the intrigue: the transfer has gone.

You can apply for a card from OZON directly on the website or in the service application in the "Finance" section. But there is also a separate program "Bank OZON".

To get a virtual card with details, you also need to fill out a simple questionnaire with full name, date of birth, passport details, TIN.

Further, the details can be specified in the transfer of the Golden Crown, and the money will go to the recipient.

Why Consider Other Money Transfer Services

When Zolotaya Korona stopped accepting cards from some banks, users began to look for alternative cards. But it might be worth testing other services.

The main disadvantage that caught my eye: you send a transfer in dollars, and the recipient sees it in the application. But money is credited to a multicurrency card in local currency. Choice options "Golden Crown" does not offer. If the goal was such initially, the transfer would be sent in local currency. But with this approach, there are too many conversions, on each of which the user loses some amount.

So you can try different things, but with caution. When it comes to finances, it's better to overdo it.
