Recognize the stylus at a distance of up to 12 millimeters.
Apple has updated its Pages, Numbers, and Keynote apps for the 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pros with Apple Pencil hover support. The function allows you to create illustrations with greater accuracy, writes Mac Rumors.
The company's latest tablets can now recognize the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) up to 12 millimeters above the display. Thanks to this, preliminary sketches can be evaluated before the drawing is created. And the Scribble feature, which converts handwriting to typed text on the iPad, gets text fields to automatically expand when you hover the stylus over the screen.
Earlier it was reported that the Apple Pencil received tilt and vector support in iPadOS 16.4, which allows you to see in advance how the angle of the pencil affects the drawn line.
Apple iWork apps also received bug fixes and other improvements on iOS and macOS, including the ability to export and send copies of documents, spreadsheets and presentations in different formats directly from the menu "Share". Updates are available for free from the App Store and Mac App Store.
