Oppo has officially unveiled the new Find X6 line of flagships, consisting of a base model and a Pro version. Here's what you need to know about them.
Oppo Find X6 Pro
With this smartphone, Oppo begins the "Era of the three main cameras." All three 50 megapixel sensors are the largest in their segment and are positioned as full-fledged cameras, and not additions to the main one.
Wide-angle camera - Sony IMX989 inch module, as in Xiaomi 13 Pro, with a focal length of 23 mm. Ultra Wide - 1/1.56" IMX890 with 15mm focal length. There is also a 65mm f/2.6 periscope based on another IMX890. It provides 6x hybrid zoom. All three cameras received a Hasselblad setup, as well as special filters, a shutter sound, and a watermark mode that adds shooting options around the edges of the photo.
There's also a Hasselblad portrait mode that simulates shooting with two of the brand's popular medium format lenses: the XCD30 (30mm, f/3.5) and the XCD80 (80mm, f/1.9). The custom MariSilicon X processor is responsible for image processing. It also provides faster focusing and additional stabilization of the periscope.
Otherwise, this is just a quality flagship in 2023. It uses a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Oppo claims it's the world's brightest screen, peaking at 2,500 nits (probably in HDR).
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is responsible for performance, supplemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory in the base version, there is also a variant with 16 GB of RAM. Built-in memory 256 or 512 GB, depending on the version, UFS 4.0 standard.
The 5,000mAh battery supports up to 100W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. With their help, the smartphone can be fully charged in 28 and 52 minutes, respectively. Oppo claims that the battery will retain 80% of its original capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles.
The standard of protection against dust and moisture IP68 is declared. The camera module is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, the material of the back cover depends on the version. The brown (actually more orange) variant uses a combination of glass and vegan leather, while the black and green have a glass back.
Oppo Find X6
This is a smartphone with almost identical dimensions and design, but with simpler characteristics. Instead of the top Snapdragon, Dimensity 9200 is used here, the screen is 6.74-inch with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels and a refresh rate of 40-120 Hz.
The camera modules retained a resolution of 50 megapixels, but the wide-angle module was replaced with a Sony IMX890, like a TV set. The ultra-wide module was replaced with a Samsung JN1 (1 / 2.76-inch), which retained autofocus and the ability to shoot macro from a distance of 3 cm. The periscope is the same as the Pro.
The battery is also more modest: 4,800 mAh, with support for 80 W wired charging. There is no wireless charging, and the dust and moisture protection standard has been lowered to IP64.
Like the older model, the base Find X6 will ship with ColorOS 13.1 on top of Android 13.
There are three colors to choose from, all in glass and aluminium: black, green and gold.
