But first, scientists need to prove the existence of the planet itself.
New study astronomers from the Educational University of Hong Kong shows that Ninth planet, probably surrounded by a swarm of moons. And they can be the key to establishing its exact location.
The author of the study, astronomer Man Ho Chan, used estimated estimates of the size and gravity of the Ninth planet and put forward the theory that up to 20 satellites with a diameter of about 100 kilometers. His calculations also showed that they could reach minus 173 degrees Celsius. For comparison, the average temperature in space is minus 271 degrees.
If the satellites really get that hot, they should emit a weak radio signal. And that's exactly what you can find with telescopes. That's the key to finding the elusive planet, Chan said.
For the first time about the possible existence of the Ninth planet reported in 2016. It has been used as an explanation for some anomalies in space. It is assumed that it is 5-10 times larger than the Earth, revolves around the Sun and hides in the outer region of the solar system - behind the Kuiper belt. There have even been speculations that this elusive object could be a miniature black hole.
However, many astronomers do not recognize Planet Nine even in theory. They note that there are no light signatures in the area of ββββits alleged location, which usually come from all objects illuminated by the Sun.
