It is better to be careful with the stylus, but otherwise the smartphone is just a stone.
YouTube blogger Zach Nelson, known as JerryRigEverything, tested the strength of Samsung's new top flagship - Galaxy S23 Ultra.
This model received the latest glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2, as well as a reinforced aluminum frame with increased resistance to drops and scratches. The manufacturer placed special emphasis on the presentation on these features, so it was especially interesting to test them in tests.
In the scratch test, everything is standard for top-end smartphones - the glass was scratched by a cutter with hardness 6 points on the Mohs scale, and the coating on the ends of the case turned out to be much more vulnerable to sharp objects.
The back panel surprised with its strength, remaining completely unscathed after contact with a knife. The same applies to the glasses of photomodules.
Another surprise - a minimum of traces on the screen after exposure to flame. Usually, under high temperatures, the matrix of a smartphone darkens, but in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it has not changed much.
The flagship also passed the final test for breaking with brilliance - Zach Nelson failed to bend it, damaging at least some part. Apparently, the reinforced hull is not just marketing, but a real gain. The smartphone is hard as a stone, summed up the blogger.
