It is positioned as a gadget for people of generation Z.
At the IFA 2022 exhibition, the Chinese Tecno officially showed its first laptop. It is an ultra-slim Megabook T1 with a 15.6-inch screen and a large battery that weighs less than 1.5 kg.
The Full HD display covers 100% of the sRGB color space. The hinge of the cover rotates 180°: you can lower it to the same level as the keyboard if you need it for some reason.
Inside - Intel Core i5 or Core i7, in both cases the 10th generation. There is no dedicated graphics, RAM 12 or 16 GB, depending on the modification. For storage, you can choose between a 1TB SSD and a 512GB SSD.
The laptop is equipped with two speakers with support for DTS: X surround sound and two microphones with AI-based noise reduction technology. True, the picture during calls will not be of the highest quality: the built-in webcam has a resolution of only 2 megapixels. For convenient authentication, there is a fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
The set of ports is decent: a pair of USB Type-A 3.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a pair of USB-C, as well as one HDMI and one USB Type-A 3.1 each. There is also a TF card reader.
The Megabook T1 comes with a 70Wh battery and comes with 65W GaN charging. The company claims that the Megabook T1 can provide up to 17.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. Tecno noted that the laptop is 14.8mm thick and weighs 1.48kg. Out of the box, the device runs on Windows 11. Versions without a system, it seems, are not provided.
The release is expected in the third quarter (that is, until the end of September), the cost will be announced later.
