Convenient quick access panel, filters and mentions of co-editors.
In honor of the 15th anniversary of its cloud storage, Microsoft introduced new web interface OneDrive Home, which will simplify the work with the service.
The new Home section sits above the My Files section. Here, a list of files is opened before the user, ordered by the date of the last access. Above the list is a filter for the most popular document formats: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF.
Next to each file name, you can see the latest changes in the collaboration mode. These can be new comments or mentions of the employee by colleagues. Under the main menu on the left is a quick access panel where you can place links to projects.
The updated OneDrive is currently available to a limited number of users, Microsoft promises to release the final version for everyone “in the coming months”. The company believes that the new interface will improve work on joint projects on remote.
In addition, Microsoft has prepared another interesting innovation: the OneDrive mobile app will feature "Stories", like in many social networks. So far, the innovation is available only in Australia, other users will not be able to try it until the end of this year.
