How to pay with Mir Pay: simple instructions

This payment format has been gaining popularity in recent years: at the beginning of 2022, 68% of Russians regularly paid shopping with smartphone. All because it's convenient. Mir Pay app is available for Android smartphones. It is important that the device supports NFC, and the operating system version is at least 7.0. You can download the app at AppGallery, RuStore and Google Play - just enter in the search "Mir Pay".
To add a card, scan it or enter the data manually and activate it. On-screen prompts will help you figure out what to do. You can pay for the purchase in a couple of seconds: unlock the smartphone screen and bring the device to the payment terminal. Done, the money will be debited from your Mir bank card!
Registration in Mir Pay does not impose any restrictions on the use of a physical card. You can pay by phone or by card - choose which option is more convenient for you.
AT MirPay payments are protected by international security standards. Attackers will not be able to intercept your card information - such data is not stored on the smartphone and is not disclosed during payments. Instead of details, the application sends a token - a special digital code.
In order for the money on the Mir card linked to the Mir Pay application to be under reliable protection, take care of the security of your smartphone. Set a password, PIN, or pattern that only you know to unlock the screen, or set up access to your device with your fingerprint. But it is better to refuse to install modified firmware or applications from unverified sources - this way there is a risk of “hooking” malware into your smartphone.
You can pay by phone in a store, cafe or transport - wherever payment is available with a Mir contactless card. It is easy to issue it at the partner bank of the payment system. You can connect more than 100 Mir cards to Mir Pay - find the option that suits you best here.
If you paid for the purchase using Mir Pay, and then wanted to return the goods, the return conditions are no different from the situation when you paid with a regular card. The cashier may ask you to give the last four digits of the card number - you will find them in the Mir Pay application.
And payment with Mir Pay is an opportunity to take part in promotions payment system. For example, when shopping in the Podruzhka network, you will receive a 15% discount, and in Samsung 1Galaxy branded stores you can return up to 10% cashback.
