Supernotes - service for keeping notes in card format
Miscellaneous / / July 14, 2022
Convenient way to save ideas.
Supernotes is like a digital filing cabinet. It has all the standard note-taking features: markdown for decoration, links, tags. But there are also features that distinguish the service from a number of other applications of this type.
Notes in Supernotes are made in the form of individual cards. The developers have set a limit on the number of characters in one - no more than 1,200. At the bottom, a counter of the remaining characters is displayed. When the place runs out, you can still continue to write, just a note will be counted as two cards. But even so, the counter is a useful feature for self-monitoring.
Entries in Supernotes are displayed in a single feed, like posts in social networks. To quickly view your cards, it is enough to scroll the page two or three times. Most importantly, for example to-do list for the day, you can pin it in the upper right corner to always keep it at hand.
At the bottom of the screen there is a place for tasks without a certain due date and for random lists. You can mark an important matter or event with a color.
It is easy to add tags, images, icons to the header, insert links into cards.
For each entry, you can set a deadline through the drop-down menu under the text block. There is also a switch for the task priority level and the exact time the note was created.
There are no folders in Supernotes, but you can still set up a hierarchy of entries - using parent notes. In addition, sorting by alphabet, deadline, time of creation or editing is provided.
You can embed a note in any web page that supports embedding code. To do this, select Copy Embed via the Share button, the application will display the HTML code. In addition, there is a setting for different access levels. The card can be read, commented or edited by everyone who has the link, or only by the users specified in the settings. But registration in Supernotes is required for any interaction. There is also an option to simply copy the link to the entry and send it by mail or via messenger.
In free mode, you can only create up to 40 notes after registration. Therefore, in this mode, Supernotes will come in handy for the most important ideas and regular plans. The mobile version offers the same features as the browser version. Unfortunately, the iOS and Android apps are only available to those with a $10/month subscription.
