Poll: How do you feel about director's cut films?
Miscellaneous / / July 11, 2022
During an interview with NME director Taiko Waititi (Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Love and Thunder, Real Ghouls) askedhow it relates to director's cut films. It turned out that Waititi dislikes them, to put it mildly:
I thought about it a lot and watched director's cuts by other authors. And they suck, they don't fit anywhere. Directors really need to be supervised sometimes. It’s bad when the director’s cut comes out for four and a half hours: you can interrupt several times for a cup of tea, and you won’t even have to pause the movie.

How do you feel about extended cut films? Are you willing to endure meaningless cut scenes for bits of additional content, or do you prefer theatrical cuts? Or does it depend on a specific picture, and something needs to be watched only in the director's cut? Tell in the comments!
