The watch will also get a large battery and body temperature tracking.
Apple is preparing its largest watch ever, which will get a reinforced case for extreme workouts. About it informs Mark Gurman, Bloomberg insider. This will be the third version to join the 41 and 45mm models. It is expected that its screen will be 48-51 mm.
This watch will not use aluminum, but a more durable metal. The screen will also receive more reliable protection. The battery capacity will be higher than the younger models, which will allow the watch not to be discharged during long workouts.
Like the standard Watch 8, the enhanced version will be able to monitor body temperature, alerting the user when it rises. This sensor will also improve altitude tracking while hiking and allow you to collect more accurate data when swimming.
All three versions will receive the same Apple S8 processor (in terms of capabilities, it will be similar to S7 and S6). Thus, for the first time in the history of the series, Apple Watch will have identical performance for three generations in a row.
This version is likely to be more expensive than the steel Apple Watch Series 7, which starts at $699. This version was not officially imported to Russia, at the current exchange rate it is 44,200 rubles.
Earlier this week, the forthcoming Apple Watch Series 8 with a 1.99″ screen (about 50 mm diagonal) was reported by another well-known analyst - Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants. Gurman noted that the "almost two-inch" screen will make the new watch one of the largest among the proposals of popular manufacturers.
