Samsung has expanded its line of rugged smartphones with the new Galaxy XCover6 Pro. Like previous, it is aimed at those who work outside the office - in factories and outdoors, as well as travelers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Galaxy XCover6 Pro features a rugged, shock-resistant chassis that is MIL-STD-810H certified and IP68 dust and water resistant. The device withstands drops, extreme temperatures, changes in humidity and immersion in water up to a meter deep.
The screen has a diagonal of 6.6 inches, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus + is responsible for its protection. Wet Touch and Glove Mode functions are also provided, which make it easy to operate the device while wearing gloves or during rain, when drops fall on the screen.
Responsible for performance is the Snapdragon 778G (6 nm) chip with the Adreno 642L graphics accelerator, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It is possible to expand the memory with microSD cards up to 1 TB. In terms of communications, support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC is announced.
Autonomous operation is provided by a 4050 mAh battery, and it is easily replaceable, which is a rarity today. Charging - 15W via USB-C or optional Pogo Pin connector.
The main camera of the Galaxy XCover6 Pro is 50 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture. It is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and dual LED flash. The front camera is 13 MP with f/2.2 aperture.
Among other things: customizable buttons on the side and top of the case, a 3.5 mm headphone port and pre-installed Android 12 with OneUI proprietary shell. Device dimensions: 168.8 × 79.9 × 9.9 mm with a weight of 235 grams.
Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro will cost 629 euros (≈35,000 rubles). In some markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, it will appear in July 2022.
