Repair of equipment in Russia is noticeably more complicated

Due to the lack of components for smartphones, tablets, laptops and other equipment, Russian services repairers are forced to dismantle new gadgets for parts and use used parts devices. About it writes "Kommersant" with reference to sources in the electronics market.

The supply of spare parts to Russia was terminated along with the supply of the devices themselves. Such restrictions were announced by Apple, Samsung, Dell, Asus and other manufacturers.

Due to new delivery schemes, the warranty period for electronics may also increase. So, in service centers for the repair of Apple equipment, they said that the repair time for devices can be up to a week.

According to retailers, the costs of service and its organization have now been transferred to distributors, although manufacturers were previously responsible for this.

The situation is further complicated by the beginning of the sale in Russia of equipment imported by

parallel import. In many cases, these devices will not be covered under warranty. All obligations will be borne by either the importer or the seller. For example, the repair of "parallel" products will not be possible in authorized Apple services.
