At the same time, Ornata V3 X was shown - a silent membrane version is almost half the price.
Razer has released the new Ornata V3 low-profile entry-level gaming keyboard with Razer Mecha switches. The latter are a hybrid of mechanics and membrane construction, providing a soft touch for maximum gaming comfort, but also a tactile response with a distinctive click.
The Ornata V3 is compatible with all Razer Chroma RGB lighting modes, and the keycaps have a special "UV Coating" to prevent wear and tear. The keyboard is low-profile, which is designed to reduce the load on the wrist. For the same purpose, a soft cushion was included in the package, which is attached to the keyboard with magnets.
Together with Ornata V3, they showed V3 X - a silent version, but without a fur membrane and a single backlight zone. In fact, this is already a regular office keyboard with a gaming design - probably an attempt by Razer to enter a niche opened by popularizing remote work during the pandemic.
The Razer V3 is priced at $70, while the V3 X costs $40. Both keyboards are available only in a wired version and are already on sale.
