Mobile SIM-cards in Russia became paid

The cost is still small, but it can grow.
The largest mobile operators in the Russian Federation began to charge for SIM-cards when concluding a contract for communication services. MegaFon, Beeline and Yota have 50 rubles. The same price tag will be set by MTS (from June 24) and Tele2 (from August 1). About it writes "Kommersant".
The reason for this decision is the transition to Chinese cards due to sanctions, the cost of which for operators turned out to be 3.5 times higher.
According to a source from Kommersant, now their cost is about 0.8 euros, which is 250% more than a year earlier. By September, growth could already be 420%.
If this problem continues to gain momentum, then we will either have to create production in Russia, if possible, or look for new suppliers, experts say.
