Thing of the day: Lenovo MOZI - a concept laptop with a slide-out keyboard and a built-in projector
Miscellaneous / / June 20, 2022
The device is really compact, but it has a lot of questions.
Lenovo showed the concept of a new generation of laptops. A device called MOZI, which is already noted Red Dot Design Award, offers an unusual look at what a 2022 laptop could look like.
The main feature of MOZI was the rejection of the monitor in the traditional sense: a projector is used instead. You can connect a screen for a projector (in fact, it's just a white board), or place a laptop near a plain light wall and project the image directly onto it. There is no image of the device with the screen, so it is not clear how close to place it.
The projector offers a reduced blue light mode. While this is a standard practice for laptops and monitors, it's not clear how popular it is among projector users.
MOZI also features an "expandable keyboard" that slides out of the computer case. When not needed (for example, when watching a video or carrying), you can slide it in and save space.
Nothing is yet known about the possible output and even the characteristics of MOZI, except that support for Dolby Atmos surround sound is provided here. With a high probability, the gadget will remain a concept - but the developments for it can be used in other devices of the manufacturer. Would you like such a laptop?
