Russian streaming platforms decided to help cinemas in the absence of foreign premieres by launching film adaptations of their series in wide release. So, already on June 9, “Two Hills” of the Start video service will start showing on the big screen.
Representative Start confirmed "Vedomosti" information about the planned film premiere, noting that the audience of cinemas will see the first episodes of the series. After that, they will be able to continue watching online already at home - the show was released on streaming in April.
Also, from June 2, a film adaptation of the Manyunya series, which debuted on Okko back in 2021, will be released in wide release. Premier and Kion services also confirmed their intention to start showing original projects in cinema.
