4 bad habits that create chaos in the house
Miscellaneous / / May 28, 2022
A laundry basket with a lid, clothes hangers in the right places, and other tricks will help get rid of them.
Despite our best efforts to organize the space, our efforts often fizzle out pretty quickly. Take a look at the dresser in the hallway, which is always littered with flyers and electricity bills, or the armchair in the living room, which is almost invisible due to the mountain of clothes.
To make your home much cleaner and more pleasant, watch your actions and get rid of these seemingly insignificant, but very insidious habits.
1. Leave papers everywhere
Mailboxes are often littered with a huge amount of paper correspondence, but not all of it is really important and necessary. Someone sorts these blockages right away, and someone leaves them all over the apartment and promises himself to throw away useless letters and leaflets sometime later.
If you are in the second category, train yourself to fold papers in one place. Or put the trash can where you usually leave ads, flyers and other paper spam. So you will definitely get rid of it in a timely manner.
2. Throw everything in the closet
This is one of the "classic" cleaning methods: in any incomprehensible situation, just unload things in the closet. However, this habit does not really help to organize the space and put things in order for real, and sometimes even prevents you from finding what you need.
Try a different approach and fill the closet with handy organizers, not only the top but also the bottom shelves. With such a storage system, you definitely won’t be able to just throw something on the shelf - you have to choose the right compartment.
3. Throwing clothes on the armchair in the bedroom
After a hard day, many of us laziness carefully hang everything on a coat hanger and put it in drawers. That is why we leave clothes on a chair or in an armchair.
To solve this problem, buy a laundry basket with a lid. During the visit of guests, you can hide dirty clothes from prying eyes, and the rest of the time you can keep the basket with the lid open and immediately throw things that need to be washed into it. You will especially appreciate this method when you feel so tired that you can’t even lift the lid. Just remember to put the basket in the most convenient place for you.
If you often throw clothes that you are going to wear again on the chair, put a few hangers in the places where you usually change clothes. When you have the necessary item at hand, it is much easier to maintain order.
4. Buy things for which there is no place
If your kitchen, living room, bedroom or nursery is running out of space, it might be time to fight your love of shopping.
To do this, a simple rule comes in handy: what you buy should take the place of what you already have. For example, if you bought a new sweater, then it's time to donate one of the old ones to charity. so helpful habit will help not to clutter up the space.
