By analogy with other instant messengers and social networks in Viber, you can block any user if you don’t want to communicate with him anymore. After that, the person will not be able to contact this contact, but the very fact of the ban will remain hidden for him.

The blocked user will not see any notifications and marks and will be able to understand that he has been blacklisted only by certain signs. Here's how to find out.

1. Check Status

Open a dialogue with the interlocutor and check his online status. If the last time online is not displayed there, then most likely you have been blocked.

2. Check sending messages

Try to write to the person and pay attention to the delivery status. If everything is in order, you will see two purple checkmarks confirming the read, or at least two gray ones that indicate successful delivery.

If only one gray check mark is displayed, this clearly indicates that the message was not delivered to the interlocutor and you are on the black list.

3. Dial man

Make a voice or video call through Viber. When blocked, you won't be able to get through. You will hear beeps, but you will not be able to establish a connection. In this case, the user will not see the call and will not understand what he was dialed.

4. Add to group

Invite a person to a group or create a new one. If immediately after that you see a notification that the user has left the chat, then he banned you.

5. Try opening your profile photo

After blocking, profile data will become inaccessible. You won't see the status, nor will you see the user's new avatar if it has been changed. However, all old information before blocking, including correspondence and files, will still be visible.
