Insurance in case the shortcuts are mixed up.
Experienced users often use hotkeys to speed up work, but sometimes if you miss a button in a hurry, you can, on the contrary, lose all unsaved data. Usually apps will warn you to save on exit, but not always.
The free Switcher utility will get rid of such overlays. After installing it, if you accidentally press Cmd + Q instead of Cmd + A or Cmd + W, nothing will happen. To end the active application, you will need to press Cmd + Q twice.
The option is activated by the corresponding toggle switch in the utility window in the menu bar. A couple of auxiliary functions are also available here. One of them is a quick change in the direction of mouse scrolling, which will eliminate the need to open the settings every time to switch.
In addition, using the Switcher, you can reassign the functions of individual keys. To do this, activate the Key Mapper toggle switch, click Open and set the necessary settings.
Switcher is open source and free. You can download the program from the official project page on GitHub.
