How to send Live Photo on WhatsApp on iPhone

In addition to being able to share your favorite GIFs, WhatsApp also lets you convert iPhone videos and Live Photos to GIF format. This can be done in two ways.

Via whatsapp

1. Open a chat with the desired user and click on the "+" button.
2. Select Photo/Video format to open the gallery.
3. Find the desired file and hold it down until the context menu appears.
4. Click "Select as GIF".
5. If necessary, add a signature, and click on the submit icon.

You can send videos up to six seconds in a similar way: before sending, make sure that the GIF format is selected in the upper right corner, and not video.

Through "Photo"

You can send a “live photo” as a GIF without opening the messenger. For this:

1. In the Photos app, open the desired file.
2. Click on the inscription Live on the left and select one of the proposed modes.
3. After that, click on the Share icon and select WhatsApp.
4. Specify the desired contact, optionally add a signature and click on the send icon.
