A minimalist productivity tool.
Pomodoro is one of the most famous productivity techniques in the world for a reason. With only one timer at hand, you can effectively use your time, alternating intensive work with rest. With the free TomatoBar utility, you don't even need a timer.
A small application that works entirely from the menu bar. TomatoBar measures work intervals and breaks exactly as it should be in a tomato system. If the timer is running, the remaining minutes are displayed next to the icon.
To start and stop, you need to click on the only button in the drop-down window of the application, which is displayed by clicking on the menu bar. By default, the duration of work sessions and breaks is 25 and 5 minutes, respectively, but they can be easily reconfigured if desired.
For concentration and more resemblance to the classic kitchen timer used by the creator Pomodoro technique, sounds are provided in TomatoBar: winding at the beginning, ticking in the process and ringing at ending. If necessary, they can be disabled individually or together using the appropriate checkboxes.
The app is open source and completely free. You can download it from the project page on GitHub.
