Firefox: Accelerate without reinstalling
Tips / / December 19, 2019
Firefox users notice that sometimes the preferred browser for no apparent reason begins to work everything and more slowly or starts to use up to 90% of the computer's memory. Removing the many extensions, cookies and temporary files will not help. Why does this happen we do not know, but we can tell you how to solve this problem.
We will simply create a new profile:
1. Start the Firefox browser bookmarks and save as a separate file on the hard disk (if you still keep in your browser).
2. At the command prompt (on Windows: Start / Start – Run / Run) Recruit «firefox.exe -P», as shown in screenshot:
3. push the button Create Profile / Create AccountWithout making any changes in the existing (default - default).
Now, if you start to work in Firefox with a new profile, you will be pleasantly surprised speed. move the bookmark, if necessary (see. paragraph 1). Of course, the new profile will not be all the extensions that were in the old, but a question of slowing down the work will be resolved.
Of course if you want you can always go back to your old profile in the same way.
