Apple Watch has a recovery mode

It will help to eliminate serious software failures without contacting the service.
With update watchOS 8.5 Apple watches have received a new useful feature - entering recovery mode. It will be useful if a red exclamation mark appears on the watch screen, indicating problems with the firmware. It usually appears after an unsuccessful update process resulting in watchOS being installed incorrectly.
Formerly Apple recommended in this case, restart the watch - and if this does not help, contact an authorized service center. A new guide on the support page shows a new method that will work on watches running watchOS 8.5 and iPhones running iOS 15.4.
- Make sure your iPhone is nearby and connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Attach the magnetic charger to your Apple Watch.
- Double-click the side button (located next to the Digital Crown) on your watch.
- On the iPhone, instructions will appear on how to restore the firmware of the watch. Follow her.
It is not yet clear if this method will help restore Apple Watch firmware after watchOS beta crashes. Apple notes that if the recovery screen doesn't appear on the iPhone, it's worth connecting to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi instead of 5GHz.
