On Mars discovered a strange object of an unusual shape

Curiosity rover photographed interesting rock structure in Gale Crater. Scientists have put forward a theory of its origin, and users on the Web continue to discuss what the object looks like.

The researchers recalled that billions of years ago, crater lakes were found on almost the entire surface of Mars. When there was too much water in the craters, it overflowed. This led to major floods that cut through river channels and changed the topography of the planet.

Now on the surface of Mars you can find traces of ancient rivers. Scientists suggest that the strangely shaped stone was originally located in one of these channels. Currents and winds have polished its surface and given it an unusual shape.
