Russian project "ZATO" will be released on Netflix

Netflix will launch already the fourth Russian project. Events "ZATO" will develop on post-Soviet space in the 1990s. Anastasia Talyzina and Mikhail Troinik will play the main roles - journalist Christina and policeman Dashkin.
The script for ZATO was written by Mikhail Shprits, Ilya Shein and Ksenia Mchedlidze. The idea of a story about a teenager who disappeared in a closed city - a "mail box" - appeared several years ago. To solve the case, the policeman and the journalist will have to act very carefully, because disclosing secret information here is literally life-threatening.
But ZATO is not only criminal drama. This is also a story about people who, after the collapse of the USSR, could not adapt to changes in society, do not believe in anything and do their best not to lose themselves.
Project director Daria Zhuk, who will work together with Stanislav Libin, admitted that ZATO is a story about complex, extraordinary characters, an opportunity to explore the post-Soviet heritage. It's also a chance to work with your favorite actors on the small screen.
ZATO will be available on Netflix worldwide, but a release date has yet to be announced. Previously, the service announced a multi-episode drama "Anna K». A modern adaptation of Anna Karenina starring Svetlana Khodchenkova will be released this year.
Work has begun on the life-affirming story "Nothing Special" about an actor who became a volunteer in a fund to help people with developmental disabilities. main role performs Yura Borisov.
Another announcement is a psychological drama with Alexander Petrov. Project with the working title "Loop" removes Eduard Hovhannisyan, known for his work on the series "chiki».
