An insider spoke about the new Apple devices planned for 2022

In autumn, we will have the widest range of new hardware products in the history of the company.
Usually in the spring, Apple releases updates for its non-essential devices, in the summer it introduces a new software and holds a conference for developers, and after, in the fall, shows the key novelties. In 2022, the company will adhere to approximately the same plan, informed Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman.
- According to him, at the spring presentation, Apple will show the new iPhone SE, which will probably retain the design of the current model, but will receive a more powerful processor and support for 5G.
- Another possible novelty is the iPad Air, which hasn't been updated since late 2020. The latest model is credited with the A15 chip from the iPhone 13, corresponding to last year iPad mini.
- Much less likely is the release of the new iPad Pro tablet. Since the release of current models with Apple M1 processors, only a year will pass by spring, and, given gossip about the upcoming changes, the spring announcement seems premature.
- The insider also believes that Apple will install the M1 Pro chip in the new Mac in the first half of this year. This could mean a more expensive version of the Mac mini or iMac. Although they will most likely come out towards the end of the year.
Summing up, Gurman noted that it is in autumn that Apple expects the widest range of new hardware products in the company's history. The preliminary list of possible new products includes:
- four new iPhones;
- budget macbook pro;
- updated iMac;
- the new Mac Pro;
- updated MacBook Air;
- second generation AirPods Pro;
- three Apple Watch models;
- iPad;
- iPad Pro.
Probably, all these devices will be divided into two or even three presentations.
