Miscellaneous / / January 20, 2022
It has standards for running and squats, as well as provisions for the necessary equipment and even clothing.
To become a sportsman-athlete or play for the national team, it is not enough just to pump the reaction speed at the computer. Order of the Ministry of Sports No. 938 of December 1, 2021 definesthat esports players should improve their health, develop motor skills, self-control and general physical fitness, as well as follow a diet and recovery regimen.
The document is drawn up in the image and likeness of the standards for other sports. For example, it says that esports players need not only a room for the game, but also a gym, locker rooms, showers and a first-aid post.
Gamers should train on their own at least 10% of the time. In general, at the initial stage, you can conquer virtual worlds for two hours in a row, at the stage of sports specialization - three hours, improvement and higher sportsmanship - four hours. But you should not train more than eight hours a day.
On the other hand, children can officially go in for e-sports: from the age of 12 - to undergo initial training, from 14 - sports specialization, from 16 to improve eSports skills, from 17 to conquer higher levels.
The program even has a table with the distribution of different types of load. Physical training will have to be given 20-40% of the time, psychological - 5-20%, depending on the level.
The authors of the standard note that in order to achieve high results in eSports, speed, endurance and coordination are important. Flexibility is moderate, but strength is not very important.
There are also specific rules. For example, a novice cybersportsman must run a distance of 30 m in 5.7 s, 1.5 km in 8.2 minutes. Shuttle run (three segments of 10 m) is given no more than 9 s. You also need to be able to pump the press - perform twisting 32 times per minute - and lean forward (into the crease) so that the fingers go behind the toes by at least 3 cm. Finally, it is required to squat at least 10 times without stopping.
For girls, the standards are slightly lower, and for advanced esportsmen, the numbers are growing.
We also paid attention to the characteristics of equipment for gaming. For a group of ten people and a trainer, eleven sets are needed:
- a computer with a tower cooler and heat pipes with a cooling efficiency of 125 W or more, at least 16 GB of RAM with a frequency of 2666-3000 MHz, gaming graphics card, 128 GB solid state drive (SSD), 2 TB hard drive (HDD), 750 W power supply, chassis midi-tower;
- 19 inch monitor with a response of 1 ms and a refresh rate of 144 GHz;
- table, reclining chair with adjustable seat height and armrests;
- full keyboard;
- optical mouse with a resolution of 1600 dpi and mouse pad;
- wired headset with headphones and microphone.
In addition, two game consoles and two TVs with a diagonal of 42 inches and a response rate of up to 2 ms are required per group.
High-level e-sportsmen can also receive such computers at home for self-training - one set for three years. They will also provide tracksuits (winter and summer), sneakers (athletic and insulated), as well as T-shirts, shorts and hats. Beginners and intermediate athletes will have to buy everything on their own.
Russia became the first country in the world where esports was recognized as an official sport - in 1996 (and then again, in 2016). In 2021, the government commission for digital development approved the roadmap "New communication Internet technologies", within which universities offered teach esports disciplines.
