Wi-Fi 7 technology first shown in action

MediaTek tested Wi-Fi 7 data transmission using Filogic technology at maximum speed, certain IEEE 802.11be standard - 40 Gb / s. The nominal bandwidth of Wi-Fi 7 is even higher - 46 Gb / s.

Wi-Fi 7 provides data transmission in three frequency bands: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. Compared to Wi-Fi 6, its data bandwidth has doubled to 320 MHz.

MLO technology helps Wi-Fi 7 reduce data transmission delays. It combines multiple channels in different bands to stabilize network throughput even if it experiences interference or congestion. MLO will provide low ping in multiplayer games, comfortable cloud gaming, real-time information exchange with smart cars and IoT devices.

In addition, Wi-Fi 7 supports Multi-User Resource Unit (MRU) functions to reduce interference and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (4K-QAM) technology. All this in the future will make it possible to abandon cable networks in buildings, as well as launch large-scale projects like smart cities. The first devices with Wi-fi 7 will hit the market in 2023.
