Presented foldable smartphone Honor Magic V with Android 12

Honor has announced its new smartphone, the foldable Magic V. The apparatus is similar Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, with which he was compared during the presentation.

The external display Magic V has a diagonal of 6.45 ″ with an aspect ratio of 21: 9, a resolution of 2560 × 1080, brightness up to 1000 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The case is 72 mm wide and 160 mm long, and the thickness is only 14.3 mm (versus 16 mm for the Samsung counterpart). There is practically no gap between the body halves.

According to a company representative, the external display is covered with heavy-duty glass, which allows the smartphone to withstand impacts on a hard surface. In support of these words, the device was deliberately dropped to the floor from shoulder height - it remained unharmed.

When unfolded, the Honor Magic V offers a 7.9-inch screen with a 10: 9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2272x1984 pixels. A 213-component hinge is responsible for the bending mechanism. The manufacturer guarantees its performance for at least 10 years if the smartphone is folded 50 times a day.

On the back, the smartphone has a triple main camera with three sensors of 50 megapixels each. The external display has a built-in selfie camera with a 42 megapixel sensor. The same is true in the internal.

The phone is powered by the latest chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is equipped with 12 GB of RAM, 256 or 512 GB of internal memory. A two-cell battery with a capacity of 4,750 mAh with support for 66 W charging (50% in 15 minutes) is responsible for autonomy.

There are also two speakers with DTSX audio support and a fingerprint scanner inside the power key on the side. The novelty works under the control of Android OS 12 with the Magic UI 6.0 interface.

The Honor Magic V can be ordered in China from January 10 at a price of 9,999 yuan (≈117,800 rubles).
