The annual Consumer Electronics Show 2022 was held in Las Vegas from January 5-8. As part of this event, many manufacturers of household appliances and gadgets showed their new products. We chose the most interesting and unusual devices.
Samsung Odyssey Ark Monitor
Samsung showed curved OLED-monitor Odyssey Ark, which has a huge size - 55 inches. It can be used in horizontal and vertical orientation. In the latter case, you can display three desktops at once on the display, or, for example, simultaneously watch video and play games.
The Odyssey Ark is controlled by a wireless ring controller that allows you to quickly divide the screen into pieces of arbitrary size. Specifications, release dates and pricing have not yet been announced.
Samsung Freestyle Projector
Another interesting novelty from Samsung is the Freestyle compact projector. It produces a picture in 1080p resolution ranging from 30 to 100 inches and automatically adjusts to different surfaces, aligning the edges of the image and adjusting the color reproduction. Dell showed a new laptop model of the top line XPS, which received an unusual panel of touch buttons. It can switch to F1-F12 mode, or it can offer function keys to control sound, picture, and so on. Another interesting feature is the hidden touchpad - visually it does not stand out in any way, but it supports tactile feedback.
The laptop will be released in various modifications with 12th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 chips and a 13.4 ″ display with FHD or 4K matrix. The price starts at $ 1,200 (≈90,200 rubles).
Razer Modular Gaming Table
Razer showed the concept of a gaming PC Project Sophia, which is built right into the table. It differs not only with hidden hardware, but also with a comfortable glass tabletop with a touch surface and traditional RGB lighting for the brand.
The back of the desk connects to a 65 '' or 77 '' OLED monitor. Some of the important data on the operation of the PC can be displayed on mini-screens right on the table top. All modules can be easily changed, which allows you to customize the table for games, design or work with content. The timing of the release of the device is out of the question, since this is only a concept.
"Alkomachina" Black + Decker
Black + Decker brought the Bev alcoholic cocktail vending machine to CES 2022. He independently mixes drinks with the contents of special capsules. The device uses gin, rum, tequila, vodka and whiskey - a metal tube is immersed in each of the bottles. Unit price is already known.
Asus laptop with folding screen
Asus brought the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop to the show, which is essentially a foldable display. It has a diagonal of 17.3 "when unfolded and 12.3" curved when used as a keyboard on the bottom. It can also be connected as an additional monitor for a PC.
The 12th generation Intel Core i7 U-series processor is responsible for the performance of the new item. The amount of RAM can be up to 16 GB, and the built-in memory - 1 TB. The battery is 75 Wh. More details are expected in the second quarter of 2022 when the laptop goes on sale.
Sony's first QD OLED TV
Sony has announced the Bravia XR A95K TV. It is the first model with a QD-OLED display that combines organic light-emitting diodes with quantum dots. Such a panel will provide high clarity and contrast of the picture, usual for the first technology, as well as increased brightness and extended color gamut, typical for the second. Assistant Robot Labrador
Labrador Systems has shown a robotic assistant that will be available in two models: the Caddie and the Retriever. Both are moving tables designed to help the elderly as well as people with disabilities. Models differ in size and lifting height.
Caddie and Retriever can move food and medicine around the house, carry dishes and heavy items, and pick up trays - a special roller mechanism is provided for this. You can interact with robots using the touch screen. Buy they will be available at a price of $ 1,499 (≈112,500 rubles).
The color-changing BMW iX
BMW at CES showed an unusual system for changing the color of the car's body. The technology was demonstrated on the example of the iX electric car. The hue changes in literally a few seconds at the touch of a button.
This technology works on the basis of E-Ink, which is used in the manufacture of displays. In this case, the body of the machine is coated with millions of tiny microcapsules with negatively charged white pigments and positively charged black pigments. Pigments change their position under the influence of an electric field, which allows you to give a car one of two shades or even display some kind of pattern.
Humanoid Robot Ameca
Engineered Arts brought a prototype of the Ameca robot to CES, which back in December last year scared all too believable facial expressions and gestures.
