An interesting new project has appeared on Kickstarter: the portable periscope telescope DWARF II, which allows you to photograph the night sky and wild animals.
It has two cameras: the main Sony IMX415 telephoto camera of 8.4 megapixels with a focal length of 100 mm, as well as a wide-angle module, which is used for preview. The resolution of the additional camera has not been specified. It has autofocus and an AI-based subject tracking system that is suitable for capturing stars, birds and other moving objects. Protection for observing the sun is also provided.
The telescope connects to a smartphone via Wi-Fi. Through the application on iOS and Android, you can control it and take photos or videos remotely.
DWARF II was estimated at $ 459 (≈34,000 rubles), but on Kickstarter it can be pre-order for 349 dollars, or about 25,800 rubles. Orders are scheduled to ship in August 2022.
