By default, the iPhone uses the newest pictures on the cover in user albums in the Photos app. If that doesn't suit you, you can change the album photo in just a couple of seconds. For this:
Done: the album now has a new cover. To return to the standard display of the newest photo, remove the current cover art from the album. After that, the photo can be returned back.
This feature only works with images that are in the album - you may need to move the photo before making it your title photo. It's worth noting that this will not work with the Recent and Favorites albums - they will always have the newest photo on the cover.
