Apple to release AirPods Pro 2 in late 2022

According to the well-known Apple analyst Min-Chi Kuo, an updated version of the popular AirPods Pro headphones will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022 - 3 years after the release of the first generation. While we have previously heard that the headphones will be out in 2022, this is the first time a reliable source has reported the exact time period.

AirPods Pro 2 is expected to receive a completely new design without legs and will look more like Beats Fit Prothan other devices in its line. It was also previously reported that the headphones will receive additional sensors for tracking physical activity, and the new processor will provide improved connectivity.

Earlier this year, Apple already updated standard AirPods, launching the third generation with modern design and surround sound. These headphones are very similar to the Pro version without silicone pads and active noise cancellation, so it is not surprising that Apple wants to separate these lines both externally and functionally.
