Notion Pro Clipper will save any content from the web with just one click
Miscellaneous / / November 25, 2021
Send pictures, mail messages, screenshots and even entire pages to Notion.
The popular note-maker Notion has a proprietary web clipper, but he only knows how to save links to pages on the Internet, and not the information itself. The third-party extension Notion Pro Clipper lets you drag a lot more content into your notes.
For the plugin to work, you need to install it from the extension store, register (you can log in via Facebook or Google), and then log into your Notion account. After that, a new icon will appear on the toolbar, through which interaction with the web clipper takes place.
Several different actions are available here. You can save the web page or take a screenshot of it by choosing where to put the information.
In the first case, by clicking on the URL button, the link to the article is simply saved (as in a standard clipper). Full page and Section transfer the entire page or the specified fragment to Notion, respectively. Moreover, it is fully functional: with pictures and layout saving. It looks like this.
For some quick notes, it is more convenient to save the page as a picture. In this case, the extension takes a screenshot of the selected area (Snip) of what fits on the screen (Visible part), or the entire page (Full page). Selecting the latter will take and combine multiple pictures.
Also, after installing Notion Pro Clipper, small blue icons with the inscription Save will appear above all the pictures on the page when you hover the cursor. It's a handy tool for quickly saving images on the go.
You can export content to one of the existing notes or pages in Notion, but you cannot create a new one for this.
The plugin is distributed free of charge and works on any pages: websites, blogs, mail. It is currently available for Chrome and Firefox.
