But users will retain access to the passwords themselves.
Mozilla officially announcedthat on December 13, support for the Firefox Lockwise password manager, formerly known as Lockbox. The final versions of the application were 1.8.1 and 4.0.3 for iOS and Android, respectively, and after that date they will no longer be available for download.
Although the application will cease to exist, the Firefox password manager itself will remain available to users of mobile and desktop versions of the browser. In December, the default Firefox iOS app will receive an update that will allow saved passwords to be used in all apps that support autocomplete.
Microsoft also noted that soon the main Firefox app will get Lockwise functionality on all platforms - so this is not about abandoning one product, but rather about integrating it into the main browser.
