Among them is the legendary Skrepysh.
Microsoft is rolling out a new optional update for Windows 11 that includes a number of important bug fixes and new Fluent Design emojis announced earlier this year.
The entire set of emoticons has lost the original three-dimensional style, which was originally promised by the developers. Instead, Microsoft opted for the classic 2D format.
The collection with emoji also includes the legendary "Skrepish" (Clippy), which was available to users back in the Office 97 package and went down in history along with Windows XP.
TheVerge writesthat the move away from 3D may be due to technical limitations of Microsoft's color font format, which is used to display emoji inside Windows. While Apple uses bitmaps to render its emoji, Microsoft chooses vector a format that is much more scalable and has the advantage of file size if the emoji is larger flat.
Update with new emoji distributed by gradually. If you want to access them as early as possible, check for system updates manually: Settings → Update and Security → Windows Update → Check for updates ".
After completing the installation of the update, press the Windows key + "." To open a window with updated emoji.
