New Pixel 6 Pro tested for durability

The flagship survived the test, but lost significant value in the process.
A video test of the flagship has been released on the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel Pixel 6 Pro from google. In it, the author scratched, burned and bent the smartphone in order to find out how durable it is and what weak points the owners should pay attention to so that the gadget does not fail ahead of time.
Scratches from a 6 level knife on the Mohs scale began to appear on the screen, which is quite standard for modern smartphones, a level 7 knife leaves deeper and more serious damage. This is the standard result for Gorilla Glass Victus, Corning's toughest screen protector used in many Android flagships.
The upper part of the frame turned out to be a weak spot: unlike the other sides, it is made of plastic and is easily scratched. The author of the video suggested that such an unexpected decision may be related to the location of the 5G antenna. Less explicable is the use of plastic on the sides of the camera module: while the lenses are protected by durable glass, the sides are pretty easy to wear out.
The 6.7-inch display did not pass the high temperature test: about 15 minutes of contact with the flame of the lighter was enough for the pixels to burn out and a permanent stain appeared on the screen. In this, he showed himself worse than most of the flagships that fell into the hands of JerryRigEverything.
But the sub-screen fingerprint scanner does its job well: even with serious scratches tool with a hardness of 7, he continued to correctly recognize the user at almost every scanning.
Despite the massive camera module, the smartphone is really difficult to break or bend with your hands, so the author of the video highly appreciated the build quality. Apart from the plastic on the frame and the lack of fire resistance of the screen, Google has turned out to be a truly durable and reliable smartphone.
