Cut the mushrooms into slices. Chop the onion finely. Lightly fry the mushrooms in a skillet with oil, add the onions and cook until the mushrooms have evaporated. Salt at the end. Cool it down.
Grate potatoes, eggs and cheese. Mix mayonnaise with garlic.
Assemble the salad in layers in the following order: half potatoes, half eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, eggs and cheese. Grease all layers except the last one with mayonnaise.
